If eyes are the windows of the soul, then the eyelids are the window sills.-The Ca t

Dear mouse,
eye cream
If eyes are the windows of the soul, then the eyelids are the window sills. If the eye drop is for the eyes then the eye cream is for the eyelids. I am now a quotation maker. Haah. Tongue-in-cheek.

It has been two weeks since I visited my eye doctor. The prescription is still with me. If it has a short shelf-life, it has already expired.

I realized that I am allergic to eye drops. It gave me one week blood- shot eyes that I only need two protruding fangs, a black dress and a white face powder and I can audition for a role for the legions of Buffy.

But even with the uncomfortable itchiness of my eyes, I avoid twitching and scratching my eyelids. I am VAIN, VAINGINIA errm I mean Virginia. I do not want to have crow’s feet or wrinkles around my eyes.

I do not want to be VICKI-mized as in undergoing eye lifts. I might end up with one eye bigger than the other or my eyes seemed like they do not meet “eye to eye” because they wander to opposite directions. Like Bb. Gandanghari, I like my physical assets to be natural (excuse me while I gasp for some air, this corset is killing me).

So when the eye doctor told me that it is high time that I use reading glasses, I bought one from the pharmacy. I do not want to squint while reading; it would give me permanent lines between my brows. Although I had this prescription glasses for years now, I had been in denial that I need a separate eyeglasses for reading. It had only been lately that I found someone has “tweaked” with the configuration of the fonts in my computer. They have become a lot smaller. ARGHHH. Then I find myself favoring the LARGE PRINT EDITION of my favorite novels in case I am out there reading the books and I am lazy to switch glasses. The horrible business of ageing. Even cats age, you know.

why not do the Lasic surgery. then you will not wear eyeglasses and no wrinkle to cover up. i hope your insurance covers the treatment.

    frat,
siguro nga pero the eyeglasses add to the personality–mukhang kagulang-gulang.

prescription-wise, hindi pa naman mataas masyado, yong blurred vision ko is not because of visual impairment but because of the diabetes. Pag tumataas ang blood sugar ko, malabo talaga ang mata ko.
