Performance of the Senators of the 14th Congress

Dear mouse,
Many people merely agree or disagree with what popular columnists write. They judge the elective officials based on the perceptions of the media and prominent bloggers. They do not bother to check the performance of the officials in the positions they were voted for.

Senators are elected to come up with bills that would benefit not only a few but for the greater good.

Here is the performance of the senators of the 14th Congress as of the break in March:

1. Senators Miriam Defensor-Santiago – 933 bills and resolutions
2. Manny Villar – 579
3. Jinggoy Estrada – 538 bills
4. Loren Legarda 299
5. Francis Escudero – 288
6. Antonio Trillanes – 261
7. and Manuel Villar Jr. topped the list of senators who filed the most number of bills and resolutions since the start of the first regular session of the 14th Congress.

Sorry I lost the source ( i was not able to save my draft in the Word before it was closed) but this is a continution of the research I made about bills filed and bills paid by the senators.

I do not know how true is it that some congressmen alleged that some senators merely copy their bills (sometimes verbatim and introduced them as their own. (Kainis di ba?) Kahit doon pala my plagiarism.

Not too mny know that it is the staff that prepared the copies of the bills filed and so some of the seantors are not prepared to defend their bills during interpellation. Para bang HAAA, ano ba ang pinag-uusapan natin. Parang istudyanteng kinopya lang ang assignment kaya di maidepensa.
