The Notary Public

Dear mouse,

Last night, we went to UPS to have the documents I prepared notarized. Yeah, you heard me right. UPS. There are also notary publics in banks. I e-mailed the store nearest our place for the availability of the notary public. ‘Till 7:00. So when my brother came home from work, we drove to the mall where the UPS store is located.

The lady behind the counter who was also attending to the customers got my ID and the copies that would be notarized. I thought she would bring them inside the office for signature. Hindi pala, siya ang nagsign. Siya rin ay notary public.

Unlike in the Philippines where most of the notary public are lawyers, here, it is just a short term course. Pass the licensing exam and you’re ready to sign the SUBSCRIBE AND SWORN TO Me stuff at the end of the page of a document.

Talo pa rin sila sa Cebu. May bahay daw doon na ang nakalagay ay…Juan de la Cruz, Atty-at-law, Notary Public. Tumatanggap din ng labada. *heh*

This afternoon after collating two batches, I posted two big envelopes to my lawyer and an agency.

Post office is walking distance. But walking now for me is an ordeal. I waited for the bus. Susme, sang oras akong naghintay. May dumaan pag wangwang ng police. Funeral pala.

When the bus arrived, I saw that the small machine where you drop the coin or insert the dollar bill for the fare is covered with a Red Cloth. That means it is Red Code. LIBREEEEEEE ang pamasahe. The distance from my residence to the Post office is just like Quiapo and our Post office in Liwasang Bonifacio . But you got to cross the street, walk another mile since the bus stops are miles apart. Phewww.

Food diary: Last night, my brother liked to eat in the Japanese restaurant. I declined. I can’t sit for a long time. SO when I got home, I boil some green peas, add a little salt for the taste.
Then I opened a fat-free cream of mushroom, and poured it over the fresh shiitaki mushroom. Add one cup of water. Sarap.

There were left over beef steak strips. No I did not eat a piece. There was this leftover of pinaupong gamehen tapos pinirito ko sa olive oil. Kaliit na nga lang hindi pa maubos. I started eating the small wings.Bukas siguro naman yong likod. I liked to make a banana smoothie pero tinamad ako. mwehehe

Then dreamed of broken cane.

    Lorena,
Yeah, I miss the City especially the cable car. I ride the car from Powell Street in going to the Fisherman’s Wharf. Then I take also the street car along Market Street.

I stayed in the library at Civic Union when I like to read books that I don’t want to bring home.

Then there is wireless galore for your laptop.
