Dear Mouse,
My site is exploding not because of my hits but my subdomain’s.
Last July, I moved from blogspot Cpanel to Word press. Neat eh? I do not know a thing about WP. So I convinced Retz to do it for me with a deal. I got a lot of spare bandwidth to use so if he designs my blog and enhances the WP template, I can host a blog for him.
Oke.
A month after, he won the logo design contest sponsored by PROBLOGGER.
Here is the shirt that bears his logo. I was surprised to receive it from the mail weeks ago but I did not have the chance to take the pic to show it off.
At first, his blog was about politics. His famous pooptograph was featured by MLQ3 in one of his blogs. According to Yuga, some of his pooptographs were used by the PCIJ people. (This I still have to verify) .
I discouraged him from writing about politics. He is too young for that. Besides, politics blogosphere are dominated by media people. If he wanted to find a niche in the market, he has to find one where he will be comfortable to write about. So that’s what he did. He monitored his hits and his entries.
Sumalosep, ngayon number 5 na siya next to Sassy Lawyer sa Pinoytopblogger samantalang ako nasa 20’s lang. According to the survey I conducted, he is the new kid in the block among the “veteran bloggers” occupying the top ten slots.
The study also pointed to me that the blogosphere is populated by young people who are more computer literate than the older generations, thus the popularity of entertainment and pop culture blogs.
According to his profile, he is a talented retz and hardworking at that. Yes he is. His other two siblings are equally hardworking too. One is a registered nurse in one of the large hospitals in the US and the Accountant is in the investment and tax firm in San Francisco.
I won’t mind being beaten because he just made use of marketing principle of
getting the pulse of the consumers in his age bracket. He did not rely on mere links alone.
Keep it up boy. Am sure your grandma would be proud of you if she were alive.

Great kid that retz. We sometimes have long talks over the phone and I constantly encourage him to pursue blogging esp. after he found his niche. :) And thanks to you, Ca t, this kid is one of the most notable Rookie in the Pinoy blogosphere.
