The Tragedies of the Rich and Famous Celebrities

Tragedy does not only refer to a play but also to real events involving famous or great people whose downfall may be brought about by character flaws, conflicts with some higher power such the law, gods, fate or society.

Kris Aquino is in the news lately for the cold reception that she gave James Yap when the latter attempted to give her a kiss during her birthday celebration in the The Buzz. Words flying in the internet pointed to the cause as husband’s request for a more expensive car; making her feel, she’s back in the past where the men in her life was showered with gifts, condo, cars and jewelries. Blind items however pointed to the actress/TV host’s philandering husband with a staff of the famous cosmetic surgeon of the stars.

She’s a good person except that she falls madly in love–with wrong persons.
Someone has to tell her that money can not buy love and fidelity. She’s still fortunate though because she has a family who strongly supports her, unlike Nicole Smith and Britney Spears.

Britney has just shaved her head. She could not afford not to be controversial.

She was the pop princess until she married a “commoner”, Kevin Federline who was rejected by her fans, so much so that his attempt to become a famous singer by hitching his star to his famous wife’s popularity was not a success as in BIG FAILURE.

She walked out from his life, pretending she’s not at all affected but the news proved otherwise. She became a notorious party-goer, photographed with no undie and collapsing due to too much alcohol. Her fans thought that she’s a bad influence and is no longer role model for teen-agers.

Her mother who prepared her for stardom is no longer in her side instead another brat, Paris Hilton is her constant companion.

Poor little–soon–to–be–falling to oblivion.

Unlike the other two, Nicole was not born with the proverbial silver spoon. She was abandoned by the father at a young age. Her mother remarried that she had to earn a living for herself.

She made use of her beauty and her charm. Fate was not kind to her. In her brief rich and famous /from rags to riches, life, she was saddled with court battles. Now she’s dead, the battle has not ended, with another battles ensuing on the paternity of her child and her will.

She has one redeeming character though. She loved her son very much that she worked in the topless bar, married an octogenarian and left everything to her son. She must have been devastated when the son died.

Now I believe my friend who chose a simple life than the stardom offered to him.
