Dear mouse,
It’s 12:45 midnight and am still awake. No honey, I am not watching TV, I am looking up outside in the terrace –hoping I will see some of the Perseid meteors.
The news said that it is best to watch late Sunday night and early dawn Aug. 13.

Last time I witnessed a shooting star was when I was reviewing for my CPA Board. I was late coming home from the review school so that I could not find a tricycle that would bring me inside our village in Tandang Sora. So I walked from the corner of Commonwealth to our village praying for others’ safety. Others mean those who would attempt to rob or hurt me. Masama kasi akong magalit, nagbabago ako ng anyo. Nagkakapangil at humahati ang tiyan. hihihihihi
Kidding aside, as I was about to make right turn towards the gate entrance of our village manned by a sleeping guard, I saw a shooting star. Nakuh dali, ano nga ba ang sabi ng mother ko tungkol sa bulalakaw? Ehm. Pumulot ng bato, bago mawala at saka magwish.
So I bent while looking at the shooting star. What was my wish? Eh ano pa di matapos na ang hirap kung magkarga ng mga maraming review materials araw-araw –in short makapasa ako sa Board. Pinahaba pa eh. Susme.
Sabi nga bulalakaw, hayon, biglang nawala. And the shooting star disappeared. I made my wish and I looked at the stone that I picked up. Ehmm, parang di bato. Parang may amoy.
And that’s not the origin of the “bato’ ni Darna that I always mentioned in my blog. I threw it away. My mother did not say anything about keeping the stone.
Then I passed. Wheee. I have never seen any shooting star anymore. Kasi, I have no more time to look up the sky. Got so busy that by the time, I went home, I was too tired and just fall asleep in my car to be awaken when we’re home.

Comment:
I come in peace! :-)
My first trek (in Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal) was memorable because when we were chatting the night away as we gazed at the night sky, we saw not one, but two shooting stars!
Three weekends ago, we heard that the minor planet Pluto will be at its nearest to Earth and that when we get a chance to see it, it looks like we have 2 moons! Around 12:30 raw. Good thing we had to be up and about in preparation for another trek. Ayun, sa sobrang busy namin, nakaligtaan namin tingnan. Sayang. A once in a lifetime moment.
Sensiya ka na. Nakapikit yata ako, delete ang napress ko.
Anyway, welcome to Earth.
psst…nakita mo yung meteor?
ha? (Groggy pa dahil walang tulog kababantay) anong meteor. hehehe
hindi ko nakita.
Nakita ko lang ang liwanag ng sky.
